Day 1

Travellers arrive at the Hotel Stendhal during the afternoon. Some travellers may wish to arrive the day before. Welcome drinks and dinner precede the evening performance at the Teatro Regio

Day 2 

We visit the National Gallery and the wooden Teatro Farnese in the morning and after time for lunch we re-group for a visit to Busseto. In Verdi’s hometown we visit the places associated with him in his youth, and his later years, before dinner and a special performance  at the intimate, historic Teatro Verdi of Un ballo in maschera

Day 3

We visit the birthplace museum of the Italian conducting legend, Arturo Toscanini. Later we gather again for a performance of the final opera in our festival visit at the Teatro Regio.

Verdi's Macbeth in a new production in the original French.

Day 4

Our tour ends after breakfast. Your tour manager will be on hand to assist with departure.

The closest major airport is Bologna which has direct flights from London and connecting flights via Amsterdam. There is a good train service between Bologna and Parma.
