Opera & Christmas Markets in Berlin

Join us for three nights of opera in Berlin in the lead up to Christmas. Offenbach’s magical music and Puccini’s passionate drama combine with Giordano’s lyrical opera - famous for its glorious tenor role which will be sung by Roberto Alagna. We visit the superbly restored Museuminsel complex including the Pergamon Museum, the Schloss Sanssouci at Potsdam and we explore Daniel Libeskind’s visionary Jewish Museum.
Each day includes free time to enjoy browsing the Christmas markets.

We meet at the Maritim proArte Hotel near to Friedrichstrasse and the Unter den Linden. The hotel is modern, comfortable and has a large swimming pool for those who enjoy a refreshing dip. Welcome drinks are followed by our first opera talk. An early dinner in the hotel precedes tonight’s performance of Offenbach’s celebrated masterpiece, The Tales of Hoffmann sung in French with English surtitles.
